Thank you for thinking about supporting the work of Bob Voglin and the local community of San Luis Obispo in support of the Hearst Cancer Research Center through Surfing for Hope. Surfing is very therapeutic and has amazing healing powers.
With your help, our goal is to raise funds for the Hearst Cancer Resource Center and the Center’s Angel of Hope Fund. The Center provides resources and much needed coordination of services to cancer patients, cancer survivors and their families, with all services provided free of charge. The
Angel of Hope Fund, also supported by this event, was created by the Center to provide immediate financial assistance for basic medical needs of cancer patients during treatment.
Last year, the inaugural event raised more than $61,000.
There are many ways to get involved, even if you can’t attend the Benefit Dinner or Surfing Contest! You can support Surfing for Hope by Making a donation or sign up to fundraise, Becoming a sponsor, or Donating an auction item.
This is a great opportunity for both the surfing world and the medical world to join up to support people who are challenged with this disease.
All of these exciting events will be held on the weekend of September 20-21, 2013. Events include The Surfing for Hope Longboard Contest, Health Fair, Memorial Paddle Out, and Luau Benefit Dinner.
As a sponsor, your contribution will go directly to the Hearst Cancer Resource Center to support its many valuable services, including the Angel of Hope Fund. All sponsors receive ample recognition of their support via event promotion and at the event itself.
